In Islam, showing off, or "riya," is considered haram, or forbidden. This is because it goes against the principle of sincerity and humility in one's actions. The act of showing off is seen as seeking praise and recognition from others rather than doing good deeds solely for the sake of pleasing Allah. Muslims are encouraged to perform their good deeds with sincerity and humility, without seeking attention or recognition from others. **
